Hotel Discovery Santo Domingo, Santo Domingo

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Discovery. The rooms were spacious with a balcony but needed better cleaning as I noticed dirt around the baseboards and some mold in the shower. The curtains were also quite dirty, and noise from neighboring rooms was a bit of a nuisance. The hotel's location was convenient, but you need to be cautious of persistent street sellers. The dining options were limited, and the same menu got repetitive. On the positive side, the hotel is next to Parque de Independencia and close to the main pedestrian Conde street.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Zona Colonial, close to the main attractions and services. The rooms lack a mini-fridge and have no windows to the outside, only to the corridors. The service is friendly and available, although not always helpful. The dining options are limited to sandwiches or scrambled eggs made of low-quality ingredients. The hotel could benefit from more dining variety and better room amenities.

I stayed at the hotel for a night. The room, unfortunately, had a part of the ceiling almost falling, and there was no water for a shower until check-out. On the bright side, the balcony was a nice addition, and the location within walking distance to the main streets was a plus.
